pat kennedy rsPatrick Hall Kennedy, 74, of Silver City, NM crossed the great divide and passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 in Flagstaff, Arizona.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

He is survived by his brother Tom (Sally), his nieces Mazie, Betsy and Hanna, his nephew Mason, and his godson Patrick Allen Cornish.

A proud resident of Tyrone, he was born in Wisconsin during WWII. He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and got an excellent education in the Lincoln Public Schools. He graduated from the University of Nebraska. He was a lifelong Cornhusker football fan.

He entered the military and served over four years in the U.S. Air Force.

He graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law, a member of the Class of 1974. He practiced law in New Mexico for close to 30 years.

He was a utility outfielder for the Shysters softball team.

He retired from the Children, Youth and Families Department, State of New Mexico.

He enjoyed backpacking and photography. He climbed many peaks hereabouts, notably 74 Mountain, Lookout Mountain and with Eric Schuler Shelley Peak.

Pat forgot to get married. He didn't have any children. His sister Janice predeceased him.
