Mary Ellen Widby of Lordsburg, NM passed away surrounded by family on September 16, 2018 in Peoria Arizona. Mary was born to Frieda and Edward Paxson in 1937 in Lima, Ohio. Mary was married to the late Robert Young of Lordsburg for 44 years until he passed away in 1997. They had three sons together. Later, she met, fell in love with and married the late Virgil Widby of Lordsburg for 19 years respectively.

Mary is survived by her sister Carol Jones, of Celina, Ohio. Her youngest surviving son, David Young of Peoria, Arizona. Mary was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and has many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Mary was a long-time resident of Lordsburg, NM, a member of the Lordsburg Calvary Church and an active participant at the local senior center. Mary’s smile, friendly nature, and sweet personality touched many lives in the community and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday morning, September 22, 2018 from 9 to 10 at Lordsburg Calvary Church where funeral services will begin at 10 o’clock with Ed Kerr officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
