marujjo finalGuadalupe “Lupe” P. Marrujo, 88, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Cruces, NM.  She was born December 12, 1929 to Tranquilino A. Pedraza and Juana C. Pedraza. Lupe was a loving, humble woman who had great love for her family. She was born on “El dia de su Santo”, December 12, Dia de la virgin de Guadalupe. She held great adoration for her. She had great faith in the Lord and was a true communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parrish. She served as a devoted bingo helper for over thirty years until her illness kept her from continuing her volunteer duties at the church. That last few days she just enjoyed playing bingo and going to get her hair done every Saturday morning. She had a passion for professional baseball. Her team was the Chicago cubs. She would tell you who pitched and batted the best amongst other things on how the players played the game. She was even able to guess who would go to the world Series.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Alfredo C. Marrujo, whom she married on December 23, 1951.Together they raised three children; two sons, Alfred P. Marrujo of Silver City, Armando P. Marrujo (Sonia) of Arenas Valley and one daughter Rosa Linda P. Ortiz (Arthur) of Santa Clara. She is also survived by five granddaughters; Annette Marrujo of Silver City, Estrella Exham (Rob) of Phoenix, AZ, Amanda Marrujo of Las Cruces, Pam Ortiz and Cheridye Ortiz (Louie)of Las Cruces, NM. Four great grandchildren; Hector Vigil, Jacob Vigil, McKenna Exham and Kade Exham. She is survived by her siblings; Carmen P. Nunez (Simon-deceased), Mary-Lou Marrujo (Daniel-deceased), Genaro P Pedraza (Rosie) and Francis P Ambriz (Ambrosio). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lupe will be forever missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren and not to mention her true great friends from bingo.

Visitation will be Monday, October 8th from 4:45pm–5pm with the rosary following at 6pm at Our Lady of Fatima in Bayard, NM.  Mass will be Oct 9th at 9:30am at Our Lady of Fatima in Bayard, NM. Interment will follow at 11am at Ft.
