bea murphyEffie Beatrice “Bea” Murphy, 97,  passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in Taylor, Arizona. A Graveside Service will be held at Memory Lane Cemetery on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:00 am.  

Bea was born September 2, 1921 in Bell County, Texas. She married Durwood Murphy in September, they were married 57 years. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Durwood Murphy, two daughters Billy Marie Murphy, Dela Jo Greenwood, and one grandson Dean Greenwood. She had ten brothers and sisters. They moved to Grant County where she ran the kitchen in the bowling alley. She bowled on a bowling league for many years traveling all across the country and went on to own and operate the Pennington Café in Bayard, NM where they were known for their Mexican food and hamburgers. They retired and moved to Cliff, NM.

Survivors include daughter Jerrie Schear (Bill), granddaughter Sandi (Lee Hale, of Taylor, Az, granddaughter Lori Allen of San Angelo, Texas, great grandson Dally Ward (Michelle), Riley Ward (Tiffany), Brent Allen, Slade Allen (Hayley), great great grandchildren Cursten, Payton, Tate Harper and one sister Erma Pruett of Henderson, Nevada, and many more family and friends. She was a member of the Gila Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Lee Hale, Dally Ward, Riley Ward, Brent Allen and Slade Allen. She lived and loved for her family. She will be greatly missed.
