Irene A. Chavez, 29, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in El Paso, TX. She was born October 2, 1989 in Long Beach, CA to James C. Chavez and Anna R. Alvarado. She is survived by her mother, Anna R. Chavez of Silver City; Step-Dad, Lazaro Dominguez of Silver City; two sisters, Ramona Frequez and husband Alex of Lakewood, CO; Josephine Sapien and husband Aaron of Silver City; maternal grandparents, Robert and Irene Alvarado of Silver City; uncles and aunts, Ymelda Alvarado, (Arcenio McDonald), Joey Chavez, Sylvia Chavez, Robert and Lydia Rodriguez, Elva and Gilbert Ojinaga, Dalia Marquez (Elias); nieces and nephews, Esperanza, Makayla, Mia, Cruzito, Angel, Aileen, Vanessa, and Isaac. She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents, Joseph and Helen Chavez.

The Holy Rosary will be recited by Eric Vreeland on Saturday, November 17 at 9:00 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The funeral liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Bartholomew officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Castillo, Aaron Sapien, Christopher Salas, Rhea Valles, Anthony Stewart, Richard Muñoz, Archie McDonald, and Joey Chavez. Honorary pallbearer will be Cruzito Sapien.
