Olen Ernest Kee, 59, a former resident of Haystack, NM now of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Gila Regional Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1959 in Crownpoint, NM to Harry and Lucy Vendever-Kee. Olen graduated from Ft. Wingate High School in 1978. He joined the U.S. Navy straight out of high school. He worked as a plant operator at Giants Refinery. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, going on out of town trips, loved listening to music, drinking coffee, and he loved helping his mother.

He is survived by his significant other Loretta Herbert of the family home; brothers, Justin Kee, Austin, Kee, Hoskie Kee, and Harold Kee; sisters, Henrietta Bushman, Celia Kee, Berlin Roberts, and Theresa Lamson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lucy Kee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 21 from 9-10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Prayer Vigil to follow at 10 a.m. with Deacon Art Gutierrez officiating. Concluding service and interment with full military honors will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert A. Herbert, Cody Benally, Jerry Sanchez, Phillip A.
