Born July 1, 1930, Edwin Gunlock entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2018. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin D. Gunlock and Ina M. Gunlock (Cady); and by his sister, Beverly A. Williams. He is survived by his wife of many years, Janice E. Gunlock of Silver City, New Mexico; his brother David W. Gunlock and sister-in-law Joann Gunlock of Manor, Texas; his brother Richard E. Gunlock, of Magnolia, Texas; his niece Patricia Wells (Williams); and by numerous friends in New Mexico and throughout the country. Ed received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 1957, and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in 1968.  Ed retired from a long career in finance and accounting in the 1990’s, and dedicated his time to environmental causes and to his art work, and that of his beloved wife Jan.

In lieu of flowers, Ed hopes people will remember his favorite charitable organizations, the Nature Conservancy; Augustana College’s scholarship programs; and the scholarship programs offered by the University of Chicago.
