Caroline Marie Ledesma, 76, a resident of Mimbres, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, March 4, 2012 at her residence after suffering a long illness. She was born August 21, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY to Henry Anthony and Angelina Lavaglio. She was a Carmelite Nun. She was a good caring nurse and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, AZ. She was eccentric and always wanted things her way. She loved her animals and was devoted to her daughter Regina and the Catholic faith. She was a breast cancer survivor. She is survived by her loving husband, Angelo Ledesma of the family home; three daughters, Eleanor Ledesma of Sioux Falls, SD; Regina Ledesma of Mimbres; Marian D'Angelo and husband Tim of San Diego, CA; one granddaughter, Alyse Mikkelsen of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers, Henry Anthony and wife Carol of Brookeline, NH; Tomas Anthony and wife Susan of Northport, FL; one sister, Mary Ann Lovrich and husband George of Northport, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, March 12th at 12:30pm at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with Father Paulus Kao officiating. The inurnment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
