Arthur Barragan Arias, 87, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Monday, April 22, 2019 at Gila Regional Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1931 in Santa Rita, NM to Arthur Arias Sr. and Lasara Provencio Arias. He is survived by his wife, Maria Ramos Arias of the family home; two sons, Frank Arias and wife Sylvia of Bayard; Robert Arias of Bayard; four daughters, Sylvia Arias of Orosi, CA; Lorraine Estrada and husband Christopher of Visalia, CA; Jean Muñoz of Mesa, AZ; Evelyn Hernandez of Tijuana, Mex; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; one brother, Alex Provencio and wife Toni of Silver City; four sisters, Sally Provencio of Los Lunas; Lily Rodriguez and husband Joe of Bullhead City, AZ; Maria Arzaga and husband Alvino of Silver City; Margie Dominguez and companion Jose Rodrigo-Villegas. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Charlie Arias.

The holy rosary being recited by Deacon Bill Holguin will be Monday, April 29 at 8am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The funeral mass will follow at 9:30am at St. Vincent Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating. Concluding service and interment with full military honors will be at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Provencio, Rudy Valerio, Joseph Muñoz, Joseph Kirker, AB Provencio, and Jacob Arias.
