William A. Onda, 80, of the Gila Hot Springs, NM passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00am. A private burial is scheduled at a later date. Mr. Onda was born in Chicago, Illinois to his parents John Onda and Cecilia Geraldine Onda. He worked for Onda Oil Company in Roswell, New Mexico, and with Jeff Bingaman Insurance. He opened a Mutual Finance Company and Ridgewood Motors. He enjoyed fishing with his wife Lenna, hunting with The Campbells. Most winters were spent with family members in Houston, Texas. He and his wife Lenna (Lynn) of 53 years loved the front porch to watch the birds and wildlife. He is survived by his son Mike Onda and his 3 children Kris and his wife Marcia, Codie and Gage, son-in-law Marc, his 3 children Robert, Christina and Michael, and Mark Onda and his son Joshua, his wife Angie Regalado. One brother Jack Onda of Houston, Texas and one sister Cecilia Lockhart of Boston.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lenna and one daughter Jerilyn. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Desert Humane Society, 3050 Cougar Way, Silver City, New Mexico 88061.
