vandeventerWoodrow Wilson Vandeventer, 89, died April 8, 2019 in Tucson, AZ. He was born March 30, 1930 in Douglas, WY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Viola, in 2016. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Alva and Jesse. He is survived by six children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He and Viola raised their family in Jeffrey City, WY, later moving to Arizona and New Mexico. He worked in the uranium mining industry in Wyoming and retired from the copper mining industry in New Mexico in 1992. He enjoyed taking his family rock hunting, fishing and hunting in Wyoming. He had served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for the Jeffrey City community and participated in mine rescue team competitions. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in Wyoming at a later date.
