Ray S. Allison, 69, a resident of Hurley, NM passed at home surrounded by his family. He was married to Karen D. Allison for 31 years. He had four sons, two daughters, nineteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with construction contractors all his life. His hobbies were camping, fishing and riding around going to the forest, and looking for brass casings. He was a craftsman; liked making canes and other crafts with wood. Ray especially liked spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, and one granddaughter. Due to a family emergency the date for the service has changed. Visitation will now be on Tuesday, June 4 from 10-11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary being recited by Deacon Art Gutierrez to begin at 11am. The funeral mass will follow at 12:30pm at Hurley Infant Jesus Shrine with Father Mike Williams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Roberto Alvarez, Jesse Madrid, Felix Torres, Tony Peña, Randy Delfin, and Omar Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
