Ramon "Casper" O. Placencio Jr., 60, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Gila Regional Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1951 in Santa Rita to Ramon L. and Dora (Ogas) Placencio. He enjoyed fishing and going camping. He mostly loved spending time with his family. He also had a sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Placencio and wife Elizabeth of Las Cruces; Daniel Placencio and companion Shavonne Garcia of Silver City; step-son, Daniel Fierro of Silver City; five daughters, Dorothy Placencio and companion Rob of Portland, OR; Irene Placencio and companion Janet of Silver City; Jacque Chavez of Deming; Angelica Padilla of Hurley; Felicia Montes and companion David of Silver City; step-daughter, Leticia Fierro of Silver City; his companion, Zelda Fierro of the family home; mother of his children, Christine C. Garcia; seventeen grandchildren; one brother, Joe Placencio of Orange, CA; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; special cousin, Frank Placencio of Tucson, AZ;  special friend and co-worker, Ray Chacon of Hurley. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Alonzo "Chino" Placencio; one sister, Ramona Placencio. Visitation will be Wed. April 4th from 4-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil beginning at 6pm followed by the holy rosary being recited by Deacon Richard Rodriguez.
