Evan “Abie” Mateo Miranda, 73, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Gila Regional Medical Center. Abie was born on September 18, 1949 to Mateo and Isabelita (Apodaca) Miranda.

Abie was a man who lived his life his way and may God have mercy on his soul.  

He is survived by a daughters Diane and Amber Miranda; his three brothers, Joe Miranda (Norma) of Santa Clara, NM, Richard Miranda of Monticello, NM and Jerry Miranda of Santa Clara, NM; his three sisters, Molly Ramirez of Bayard, NM, Alsie Beltran of Santa Clara, NM and Ramona Miranda of Albuquerque, NM; his numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adolpho “Toby” and Robert Miranda; sister Lydia Reese; a son Mathew Miranda.  

The funeral mass will be held at Santa Clara Catholic Church on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00am with Father Casmir Anozie officiating. Interment will follow the mass at Santa Clara Cemetery. Pall Bearers are Lorenzo M. Ramirez, Arnold Lopez, Jerrod Lopez, Charles R. Jimenez, and Anthony Jacquez, and Zackary C. Jimenez.
