taylor 02Glen was born in Silver City, NM and died in Silver City at his sister’s house. Glen worked for years for Hill Top service station and Fowler Brothers after he graduated from high school. Then he went to work for Southwest Concrete and Paving where he worked till his recent retirement.

He is survived by one sister, Katherine from Silver City; his heart family, Paul Torres from Mesa, AZ and her daughters who thought of him as a dad, Joy and Allen Brabham, Renne Fortenberry, Karla and Dylan Bickman, their kids who thought of him as “Papa”, Ashley, Chelsea, Lane, Dakoda, Tayla and Bethani.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Taylor; his mother, Dorothy Louise Taylor; his younger sister, Bonnie Fae Taylor; both sets of Grandparents, Ellis and Cleo Taylor and Charles Gib and Lola May Gardner.

Glen was a mentor to a lot of young people and he was a big tease. Glen loved hunting, fishing and working. “See you later for now because saying goodbye is too hard.”

A Graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 10am at Gila-Mesa cemetery with Pastor David Goble officiating. Pallbearers are Rudy and Joseph Garcia, Mike Rocko, Robert Benavidez, Ian Goodyear, Jessie Jimenez, John Marshall, and John Weatherford. Honorary pallbearers are the rest of his co-workers and bosses.
