Judy was born on April 8, 1957, to Jack and Virginia Crumbley of Fort Bayard, NM. She graduated from Cliff High School in 1975 and attended New Mexico State University graduating in 1979 with a degree in Agronomy. Judy went to work for Dow/Elanco as one of the first women to be selling agrichemicals. She sold to many farmers in the South Texas region earning awards from the company for her work.

She married the love of her life, Tommy Lawson, and moved to Lubbock Texas in 1992. She continued her work as a salesperson and became very successful selling various lines of gifts to gift stores all over Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Judy was outgoing, fun, loving, and sincere in her job and personal life and never met a stranger. Up until the time of her death, she was still in contact with many of the people she called on to sell.

She loved to read and collected books, many of which are cookbooks as she enjoyed cooking. She loved her friends and family and always enjoyed visiting at gatherings. She was the life of any party she attended and made friends everywhere she went.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy, her parents and special uncles Raymond and Marion Crumbley.  She is survived by her brother Deily and wife Leslie, her nephew Jack and wife Kim and their daughters, Dezia, Alice, and Judy, niece Erin Fuchs and husband Allyn, her aunt Paula Tombosky, stepchildren Lorrie Meissner, Doug Lawson, Deena Ballard, and Rusty Lawson. Also, her special friends Elena, Rene and Mica Nava who were always there for her, and Dick Bolton who drove her wherever she needed to go, along with many other friends she considered family. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
