SierraAlexAlexander “Alex” Ray Sierra, 54, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, NM.  He was born September 4, 1968 to his parents Apolonio and Beatrice (Gonzales) Sierra in Silver City, NM.

Alex was a kind and loving man who will be missed by all. He will be dearly missed especially by his little champ. He may not have been proud of his past but without his past he never would have become the godly man he became now. Alex changed his life while in prison. He began to live the way God wants us to live. Although Alex had a rough start in life, he grew to know the Lord and changed his ways. He married Diane and she showed him true love. He always reminded her daily how much he loved her and would always say "You're the best!" "I love you so much!"

Alex enjoyed reading the bible with his family every night, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his wife and kids, they were the world to him. He liked collecting all kinds of things like baseball, basketball, & football cards; along with his hot wheels. He was always ready to pray for someone and loved talking to them about Jesus. He will always be famous for his crazy sayings like "Did you fart?" He would always ask random people, some would get upset, some would laugh. His other two famous lines "gahh look at the size of that thing" or "Did you say steak?"

Alex will be missed by many and will always have a place in our hearts. He always wanted people to know what the 1st commandment was. "Love The Lord, your God with all your heart, mind, soul & might.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Munoz) Sierra; his mother, Betty Sierra of Silver City, NM; his three sons, Erik Sierra of Santa Clara, NM, James Magdaleno of Silver City, NM and Steven Magdaleno (Companion-Angelica Leon) of Silver City, NM; his three daughters, Erykah Sierra of Santa Clara, NM, Tyanna Sierra of Santa Clara, NM and Alexandra Lucero Sierra of Deming, NM; his two brothers, Norman Sierra (Frances) of Las Cruces, NM, Bryan Sierra of Silver City, NM; his three sisters, Anna Sierra Hernandez(Gabriel) of Phoenix, AZ, Nerm Sierra of Silver City, NM and Bernadette Sierra Hernandez of Silver City, NM;  his five grandchildren; his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Nathan Sierra; his three nephews, Sean Chavez, Bryan Sierra Jr. and Raymond Sierra; his father-in-law, David L.
