Survived by Wife Judy E. Johnson, Mother, Georgia Lee Johnson (Simpson). Brothers Sandy Johnson (wife Ava Johnson and Daughter Rachel Johnson), and Tracy Johnson (wife Marina Johnson).  Sons: Thomas E. Johnson, (Grandson Thomas Z. Johnson), Adam L. Johnson, (Grandsons Trae and Nolan Johnson), Michael T. Ritchie, (Granddaughters Madalynn G. and Cheyanne E. Ritchie), and Pete Williams. Daughters: Juwana Lee Kinnibrugh, (Granddaughters Keiana and Karlee Kinnibrugh), Sandra Morales, (Granddaughter Victoria Morales), Dianne J. Young (husband Rusty Young), Catina Briggs (husband Rob Briggs) Grandsons Tylor and Alton (Bubba) Backues. 

 
Thomas, a resident of Hanover/Silver City area for 33 years. Prior to moving to Silver City his childhood was spent in Carlsbad, NM where he Graduated from Carlsbad High school and went on to work at the Pot Ash Mines as an electrician. After moving to Silver City, he continued working as an electrician for the copper mines and smelter. After leaving the mines he worked for GVE. He loved the outdoors, packing into the Gila for hunting, fishing, and camping. He spent most of his free time engaging in his favorite activities with his family, kids, and grandkids. Another favorite past time was playing Softball.

 
To honor his memory, a Memorial Service will be held at Terrazas Funeral Chapels on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Earsey Ross officiating.
