Estevan Munoz Sierra, 88, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, NM.  He was born on April 16, 1935 to his parents, Estevan and Nesaria (Munoz) Sierra in Silver City, New Mexico. 

Estevan M. Sierra better known as Steve. Steve was a fantastic Husband, Uncle, Father, Brother, Son and Friend who was loved by many. Steve was a 21- year army veteran who had been the recipient of many commendations, including Purple Heart, Courage Under Fire as a Medic, Silver Star and Bronze Star. Steve was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed bowling with his friends and family, as well as coaching his children and many others in tee-ball, soccer, baseball where he believed that every child deserved to play no matter their skill level. Steve believed in helping his community as shown by his involvement with L.U.L.A.C as well as his profession as a paralegal working for Southern New Mexico Legal Services. 

He is survived by his wife, Shelley K. (Milligan) Sierra; his son, Sean Patrick Milligan Sierra of Silver City, NM; his brother Manuel Sierra of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren; Katherine, Charlotte, Rose, Anaiysse, Simon and Laryssa.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Simon Gregg Milligan Sierra; his brother David Sierra and sister Esperanza Turrieta. 

The Prayer Vigil/Rosary will take place on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 6:00pm, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels in Santa Clara, NM.  Pallbearers will be: Raul Turrieta, Anaiysse Sierra, Charlotte Sierra, Laryssa Gyles, Rose Sierra, Simon Sierra, Paul Presley, Adan Hernandez
