'Don' Donaciano Cisneros Gonzales, 86, long time Deming resident passed away at his home early Saturday morning December 15, 2012.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 5 PM Wednesday December 19, 2012 at Baca's Funeral Chapels and the rosary service will be held at 6 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church led by Cristina Milo. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock Thursday December 20, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Enrique Lopez Escalera will officiate and veteran honors will be accorded.

He was born on July 9, 1926 in Questa, New Mexico to Adelaida Cisneros and Daniel Gonzales. 'Don' as he was affectionately known, was an Army veteran of World War II and moved to Deming shortly thereafter. Many knew him as the local meat cutter serving at Farmer's Inc, Southside Market, Peppers Supermarket and his own Don's Custom Meat Service. After the death of his first wife, Raymunda Valtierra, he married Rosa A. Ramirez on October 15, 1970 in El Paso, Texas. His interests were plentiful in being a devout Catholic parishioner at St. Ann's Parish where he was an active Cursillista, member of the League of the Sacred Heart and served as a Eucharistic Minister as well a being a member of the Knights of Columbus. His civic memberships included the Disabled American Veterans and the local League of United Americans, LULAC.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa of the home; 3 sons, Bernardo Gonzales and wife Gloria of Las Cruces; Andres "Andy" Gonzales and wife Mary; Danny Gonzales and wife Barbara of Deming; daughters, Adelaida "Ida" Gonzales and friend Kim Marino of Lancing Michigan; Gloria Chavira of El Paso, TX; Hermelinda Clemente and husband Armando of Deming; Elsa Granillo and husband Homero of Mesa, AZ; and Rosie Renteria and husband Frankie of Las Cruces; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his first wife, Raymunda; infant son, Pedro and several brothers and sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raymundo, Daniel and Andy Gonzales Jr., Omar Granillo, Frankie Renteria and Armando Clemente. Honorary bearers are the remainder of his grandchildren.
