Cristobal R. Vasquez Jr., 80, Deming resident passed away Thursday February 14, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces.

Visitation and Mass of the Resurrection were held on February 22 at Baca's Funeral Chapel and at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Machado, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment with honors followed at Mountain View Cemetery.

Cristobal was born May 22, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Hermilia Ramirez and Cristobal Vasquez. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and afterward worked as a salesman in retail. Cristobal moved to Deming in 1998 from Phoenix, Arizona and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Carolyn Ann Vasquez, 1 son, 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters
