The Silver City Woman’s Club (SCWC) wishes to thank the community for its support of the School Supply Drive. On Saturday, 80 grade level bags were given to students. Each bag had many grade appropriate school supplies, according to the lists on the Silver City Schools website. SCWC divided up any surplus items to 20 or 25 late comers.

SCWC was able to have this many bags because members of the community and members of our club came to our building with monetary and supply donations. SCWC thanks you for your help to get these supplies into the hands of the children.

Members of the Commons (formerly the Volunteer Center) gave us 80 bags of food to give with each bag of supplies. SCWC thanks the Commons for these donations.

Silver City Woman’s Club wants the children to be there to receive the items to know that the community gave them these bags. It also gives the children a chance to say Thank you.
