The Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society Museum and Visitor Center in the Santa Clara Armory is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday. It features items like this saddle and cannon from the days when such items had uses at Fort Bayard. Visitors can also purchase books with information on the history of the fort and learn more about the fort from the volunteers.
