THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM SUPPORTS DEMOCRATS' RED FLAG BILL AND DELIBERATELY CONFUSES PUBLIC ON PRESIDENT TRUMP'S POSITION

Gov. Lujan Grisham backs a Democrat-sponsored Red Flag bill that would allow family, friends and law enforcement officers to petition a judge to have guns temporarily removed from a person who is deemed not safe to possess a firearm. In her press release, Lujan Grisham wrongly said that President Trump supports Red Flag legislation. She quoted him on August 5, 2019 BEFORE he cooled to the idea. Deceitful. Lujan Grisham wants to confuse people to get more support for Red Flag legislation and to anger gun rights supporters to hurt Trump’s electability here in New Mexico. Protect our 2nd Amendment.

Right after Gov. Lujan Grisham proposed a $7.7 billion state budget with nearly $600 million in extra spending and a 4 percent teacher pay hike, Speaker Brian Egolf surprised even Democrats with an even larger increase. What's Egolf's true motive? Perhaps the fact that he's facing a competitive primary race against an even more progressive liberal Santa Fean.

NEW MEXICO HAS THE WORST HOMELESSNESS PROBLEM IN NATION--ABQ MAYOR SHORTSIGHTED ON ISSUE

A HUD report shows New Mexico is the worst state for homelessness now. The Land of Enchantment saw a 27% increase in homelessness between 2018-2019. Mayor Tim Keller apparently didn’t realize this problem. A new homeless shelter will soon be built in ABQ—for 300 beds. Analysts say the city needs about 500 beds. Why can’t the City understand its homeless problem is growing and tackle this right? Now, naturally, the Mayor is asking for millions from the state for help.

Here's the story.
