According to a Grant County Sheriff’s Department news release, on Thursday, Jan. 17, at approximately 4:07 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Ridge Road and Partridge Drive regarding a multi-motor vehicle accident. When they arrived three vehicles were found involved – all disabled in the roadway. Assisted by the Silver City Police Department, the incident was investigated, the release said, and the vehicles removed from the roadway. Minor complaints of injury were reported and one driver was transported to Gila Regional Medical Center. The other two were examined on scene by EMS.

Impaired driving is suspected as a contributing factor, the release stated. The incident remains under investigation.
