The man who was at the center of the ruckus at Walmart yesterday, Isaac Vigil of Silver City, was arrested in the early afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 12, by Silver City police officers in reference to shoplifting a knife at Walmart, and was booked into the Grant County Detention Center at 5 p.m. According to GCDC staff, Vigil was released on his own recognizance at 6 p.m.

Vigil was arrested again on Thursday, Dec. 12, this time at about 8:30 p.m., for trespassing in reference to violating a criminal trespass warning issued him for Food Basket on Hudson Street. According to GCDC staff, Vigil was rebooked into the jail for the trespassing offense at 8:49 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and released on an unsecured bond at 11:47 a.m. that same day.
