silver chorale photo 2019 05 06bPhoto by Valdeen WootenYou are invited to come listen to beautiful music as the Silver Chorale sings their Spring Concert program on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the Terrazas Funeral Chapel, #1 Fort Bayard Road, Santa Rita, New Mexico, and on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 1915 N. Swan St., Silver City, New Mexico. Under the skilled direction of Bryce Wooton, with talented Laurel Brown as accompanist, the group will perform a wide variety of songs, including a folk song lullaby, “All the Pretty Little Horses,” arranged by Luigi Zaninelli; “Easter Anthem” by William Billings;  “Ehre Sei Dir, Christe” by Heinrich Schutz; “Deep River,” a spiritual arranged by Alice Parker & Robert Shaw; “B’Shuv Adonai,” a traditional Hebrew Song, arranged by Hawley Ades; “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin; “Cool Water” by Bob Nolan; “Wayfarin’ Stranger,” arranged by Gilbert M. Martin; two movements of the Gabriel Faure “Requiem”; “Ave Verum” by William Byrd, and “Ching-a-Ring-Chaw” by Aaron Copland.

There will be a reception after the Sunday concert, in the Fellowship Hall of the Presbyterian Church. Attendance at the performances is free, though donations towards music and production costs are very welcome and can be used as a tax deduction as we are at 501(c)(3) organization.
