Kari Light, an ascension health coach and an organic chef, will be the speaker for the Silver City Rotary Club on December 17 when she will speak on “Eating 4 Ascension.” The mission of the Eating 4 Ascension group is to provide wholesome, local, organically grown food to low income families and the homeless. Currently in its start up phase, the project will begin with a food trailer located at the Oasis Coffee House on Bullard Street.

Wendy Spurgeon is the coordinator for Rotary’s December speakers.

The Silver City Rotary Club meets every Tuesday for lunch in the Sunset Room of the Western New Mexico University Student Cafeteria in the WNMU Student Memorial Building.  Members of the public are welcome to attend any Rotary meeting if the presentation being made is of interest to them. The lunch line opens at noon, the meeting begins at 12:15 p.m. and the presentation begins at 12:30 p.m. There is no charge for attending the presentation, but if members of the public wish to join Rotarians in their lunch of a hot entrée, salad, and dessert, there is a $10 fee. There will be no Rotary meetings the last two Tuesdays of December due to the holidays.
