January 12, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – “I Couldn’t Care Less”

Rev. Dan Lillie of Albuquerque will talk about the thing called apathy that literally means “a lack of care or concern,” his feelings about it, and why apathy can be important to us.

Lillie said, “As I reflect on my quest for a deeper emotional and spiritual life, I realize that I have a complicated relationship with apathy. At different points in my life, apathy has been a goal, it’s been an obstacle, and, most recently, it’s been a useful resource.”

Rev. Lillie is a Unitarian Universalist minister from Albuquerque. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Iliff School of Theology in 2017, and has spent the last three years serving the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque, first as their Ministerial Intern, and then as their Ministerial Resident.

Since completing his time at First Unitarian back in July, Lillie has been preparing for the search process to find his next congregation. He and his wife Emily (and their dogs Bella and Copper) are excitedly preparing for the arrival of their first child in February.

This is a Family Program Sunday and today’s Children's Program will start off the New Year with "Windows and Mirrors.” The class will discuss mirrors in which we can see ourselves, and windows in which we can see the world. They will imagine what they want their new year to look like and talk about goals.

There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.
