BartRoselliOn Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Bart Roselli, Director of the Silver City Museum, will speak to the Rotary club.  His topic: “What is Happening in the Silver City Museum.”

Roselli’s career began more than 30 years ago in a recreated 19th Century village museum in his hometown of Middletown located in the Hudson Valley of New York State.  After studying museum education and management at Bank Street College of Education in New York City and at the Getty Institute of Museum Management in Berkeley, California, he then worked in museums of history, art, natural history, science and even a zoo. He has served on state, regional, and national museum associations and on boards of other community non-profits and business associations. He has served as the president of the Silver City Rotary Club, Secretary for the Grant County Silver City Chamber of Commerce, Executive Committee of the Southwest Word Fiesta, The Silver City Historic District Review Commission, Grant County Give Grandly Coalition and he plays the banjo in the local band, the Big Ditch Crickets. He and his wife, Gail live in an adobe house in Chihuahua Hills in Silver City.  

         The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. for lunch in the WNMU Student Memorial Building, Second Floor, Sunset Room. There is a brief “meet and greet”, a short business meeting and then the speaker has the floor. The club welcomes members of the public to the meetings. If lunch is desired, pay the cashier $11.41 and go through the cafeteria line. If unable to attend in person, a Zoom link for the meeting can be obtained by email to info@silvercityrotary.org .
