A staged reading of Blue Willow will be performed at the Silver City Museum Annex at 302 W. Broadway Sat. Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.

Heather Moorland plays Willamina, a lonely ranch woman on her birthday, who treasures an inherited Blue Willow plate. Janet Wallet Ortiz plays Hong She, a Chinese fairytale character who steps out of a Blue Willow plate and into a ranch kitchen, refusing to leave until she is offered three stories. "All the Pretty Horses" will be performed on fiddle and sung a capella by Ella Jaz Kirk.

Blue Willow is the fourth play in Victoria Tester's fifteen-act New Mexico Ghost Play Cycle, which is being performed monthly as a staged reading series at the Museum Annex in celebration of the New Mexico State Centennial.
