Cloudcroft, NM – July 18, 2019 – Find the perfect escape from hot temperatures with Art & Wine in the Cool Pines in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The three-day festival celebrates New Mexico wine and art from August 2–4, 2019. Held annually in the cool mountain forest of Cloudcroft, this area is known for its incredible scenery, outdoor activities, and summer temperatures in the cool 70s.

“Discover a great summer adventure when you make the drive up to Cloudcroft," said Larry Evans, President of the Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce. "Art & Wine in the Cool Pines is an incredible event, offering New Mexico wines, live music, and great food in the cool mountain forest areas. The area’s beautiful scenery, unique history and this amazing annual art and wine event will capture your heart and create many lasting memories.”

In addition to sampling wines from across New Mexico, take home a bottle of your favorite available for purchase. The festival will include food vendors and live music from Mark Garcis, Rudy Wood and 3 Rivers, and on Sunday, DJ Dan Tana, all while providing attendees the opportunity to enjoy the historical, natural surroundings and the company of other wine enthusiasts.

Tickets are $15.00 for general admission, which includes a commemorative glass. For nondrinkers, admission is $10.00 for 18 and up, $5.00 for kids 13-17, with kids under 12 free. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce or at the door during the event.

“Art & Wine in the Cool Pines is the perfect centerpiece for a weekend away,” added Evans. “Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore the area’s history and great outdoors, you’ll find a variety of activities to suit your vacation needs.”

While in town, discover the rich history of the area, including the Mescalero Apaches at the Sacramento Mountains Museum & Pioneer Village. Visitors also have the chance to learn about Cloudcroft’s settlers to the area, the building of the "impossible" railroad, and the founding of town itself. You’ll also want to explore the Pioneer Village, where you can experience life as a settler in a log cabin. Just outside of Cloudcroft, the open forest spaces are the ideal playground for those who enjoy hiking, camping, mountain biking, and more.
