Taos County, NM- On Sunday, November 11, 2019 at about 4:10 p.m., New Mexico State Police officers from Taos responded to an armed robbery at the High Road Market in Penasco, NM.

During investigation, State Police officers learned a male individual identified as Terance Quintana (21) of Penasco, NM entered the High Road Market, armed with a firearm and robbed the business. During the robbery, Quintana fired the gun into the ceiling of the business in the vicinity of a child. Quintana left with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers located a cartridge inside the business and collected it as evidence.     

State Police officers identified Quintana through video surveillance from the business. Officers tracked down Quintana and two other males, Andrew Romero (28) of Las Vegas, NM and Christopher Shemayme (25) of Penaso, NM at a residence in Penasco. Officers observed Quintana wearing the described clothing during the robbery. He was immediately arrested and taken into custody without further incident. After Qunitana’s arrest, he was found in possession of a small clear plastic baggie of Heroin.

During a search of the residence, Officers located inside Quintana’s bedroom a handgun and white bandana believed to have been used during the robbery. Officers also learned, Romero and Shemayme were both involved in the armed robbery. Both were arrested and taken into custody without further incident. All three were transported and booked into the Taos County Detention Center.
