Day-Use Fees are Waived on Friday, November 29

Santa Fe, NM – The State Parks Division of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department proudly joins other states by participating in the nationwide #OptOutside campaign. On “Black Friday”, State Parks will join a growing movement to encourage more people to spend time outdoors. State Parks will be waiving the $5 day-use entrance fees for all 34 state parks on Friday, November 29, 2019.

“The day after Thanksgiving, we encourage families and friends to get connected outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, warm sun and get some physical exercise at a New Mexico State Park,” said Christy Tafoya, Director of NM State Parks.

While at a State Park, share your photos on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram by using the hashtag #OptOutside and tagging our social media channels.
