roberts 02William Grant Roberts, 89, a resident of Glenwood, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his residence.  He was born April 4, 1930 in Glenwood to William M. Roberts and Emma Kelly Roberts. William proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean era. 

.Grant’s most important thing in life was his family. He was always willing to do whatever needed to be done for his family and friends. He was quiet, good natured, generous and optimistic with a great sense of humor. He was well known for his practical jokes. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his son, Rick Roberts of Las Cruces; his two daughters, Lori Faust and husband Joe of Glenwood; Le’an Luera and husband Eddie of Glenwood; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Ray Crum, Wilson Kelly, Wilford Estrada, Danny Estrada, Vernon Hollimon, and Joe Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Barbara; one son, Bill Roberts; one daughter, Rita Reed; three brothers, Earl, Russell, and Howard Roberts; one sister, Eleanor Spears; son in-law, Shane Reed.

roberts 03A Graveside service with full military honors will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30th at 11am at Glenwood cemetery with Fr. Tony Dike officiating.  Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
