Ruth O. Garcia,76, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her daughter’s residence.  She was born November 16, 1947 to Epitacio Ochoa and Jesusita P. Gutierrez Ordoñez in Silver City, NM.

Ruth was an amazing mom and grandma; always helping everyone.  She loved yard sales, going thrifting, and traveling.  She enjoyed going out to eat with her family. 

She is survived by her two sons, Ernest Alcorta and wife Melissa of Hurley; Rudy Mesa and wife Maria of Silver City; four daughters, Jessica Dominguez and husband Richard of Bayard; Susan Alcorta-Garcia and fiancé Michael Duran of Bayard; Lisa Aguirre of Las Cruces, NM; Margaret Portillo and husband Valentin of Palomas, Mexico; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Pete Ordoñez of Hurley; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Aubree Sue Sepulveda; two sisters, Roxanne Sanchez and Joann Gonzales.

The holy rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 2nd by Alicia De La Torre at Terrazas Funeral Chapels.  The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 3rd at 9:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating.   Cremation will follow services and inurnment will take place at 4pm at Hanover cemetery.  Pallbearers are Richard Dominguez.
