Jose Raymond Prieto Jr., 88, lifelong resident of Deming passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will begin Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 3 to 3:30 in the afternoon at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Services will follow at 3:30 and the final interment to take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Danny Macias will officiate.

Joe was born September 10, 1935 in Deming, New Mexico to Jose Ramon Prieto and Jane Corral. Joe's greatest passion was his service or ministry to his God, Jehovah. He had great fellow feelings for people who needed the help of someone greater than themselves, hence he was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for over sixty years. Joe worked as an accountant for various businesses in Deming.

Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Terry Prieto; son, Joey (Maggie) Prieto and his daughter, Ruth Hales; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Prieto; parents, Jose, and Jane Prieto; a sister, Jenny Prieto and brothers, Raymond, and Larry Prieto.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Prieto, Joseph Prieto, David Villegas, Daniel Villegas, Edward Carrillo, and Norman Cheney.
