The Silver City Dia de los Muertos concludes with the traditional Blessing of Ofrendas Procession from 2 till 4 p.m. on, Saturday, November 2. The procession will be led by Nena Benavidez starting at the Glasserie and winds through downtown, stopping at various ofrendas, and ending at the Silver City Museum where the ofrenda that honors Johnny Banks and was created by Chickie Beltran is displayed. At the museum there will be mariachi music , refreshments and face painting followed by a showing of the movie “Coco” at 5:30. There will also be a downtown gallery walk from 4 till 7 p.m. However you spend this memorable day, remember that this is a celebration of the lives of those near and dear who have moved on to the next.
