The fiber art fashions made by members of SWFAC showcase one-of-a-kind designs constructed especially for the event. The show will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2 pm at the historic Silco Theater located at 311 N. Bullard St. in downtown Silver City. Funds raised by the event will go to support classes, outreach to the community, and sales events.

Last year, in addition to the fabulous fashions for sale after the show, a gift basket raffle was held that was very successful. “We are grateful to the SWFAC members and community businesses that have donated this year,” states Chrys Masuda of the basket committee. “We have five wonderful baskets valued from $365 to $680. Tickets are available only to those attending the fashion show with the drawing held immediately after the fashion show and attendees must be present to win.”

Diane Dunn and Lisa Banfield, also on the basket committee state, “The drawing is a fun interlude after the fashion show, while the garments are being made ready for purchase. One of the winners last year noted she would use the items in her basket for holiday presents! The baskets have a variety of fiber art, wearables, jewelry, and gift cards to name a few of the items.”

As noted, many of the fashions and accessories in the fashion show will be available for sale immediately after the show. All fashions will be listed along with their price in the Tapestry of Talent program.

Seating for the event is open and attendees are encouraged to come early at 1:15 pm to be sure to get the seat they want. Refreshments will be available in the Silco Theater concession.

We are especially grateful to our sponsors, the Town of Silver City and Janey and Suzi. Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased online on the homepage at www.fiberartscollective.org . The event sold out early last year.

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art.
