Throughout our lives there are so many times that we ask 'Why?' When we are young, we are ignorant and the world is new to us, so we ask the question, usually to figure out why we can't have something or can't do something. As we get older, the level of our ignorance decreases, in theory, and our 'Why?' questions change a bit, often to 'why do I have to do that?' type question. Then the progression eventually goes from 'Why?' to 'WTF?' But 'why' is always there in some form.

With that in mind, I was listening to two different ESPN pundits tell white people to shut up because they can't understand why black people use the n-word and that we can't understand what it's like to be discriminated against. Really? Those statements are bigoted. An undeniable truth of life is that there are racists and bigots in every demographic. To make any judgement based upon a demographic characteristic is bigoted. Every demographic has been discriminated against at some time in history and in a significant way. Why is it OK to tell white people to shut up and not express an opinion?

Along the same lines, there is a constant drone that old, white men are the source of all problems allegedly suffered by any minority group, both past and present. The Democrat party claims to be the party most concerned about the rights of minorities and echoes the white men can't understand our plight mantra. Why are the 3 candidates for the Democrat's nomination for President all white men? Bernie and Creepy Uncle Joe are old and have both said things in the past that would get a conservative hung from the nearest tree. Beto is a pretend Hispanic, trying to dupe the Latinos into thinking he is one of them. Just asking.

Why is it that the socks I buy at the big blue mall on the hill come in resealable plastic bags but marshmallows or potato chips don't?

I received an email request to participate in a survey regarding attitudes on climate change. The request came from Yale's Committee to Study Global Warming. Did they not get the memo? It's called climate change because the Earth's temperature is actually decreasing. That being said, why don't the "leading" climate change scientists ever discuss the role of the Earth or the sun in our changing climate? Volcanoes, the ocean, trees are all putting greenhouse gases into the air at a faster rate than man can. The sun is sending out radiation, solar flares, etc.

Amazon didn't pay any income taxes on profits of about $11 billion. The left side of the aisle screams about unfairness and loopholes. There are not any loopholes, just legal deductions that Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, the Clintons, and every media outlet takes advantage of as well. All of those deductions were put in place by the same people demonizing rich people and corporations. Why don't more people see that?

People don't like the self-checkout lanes at big box stores because they believe it takes away jobs from working-class people. Aren't these the same jobs that don't pay a livable wage? Doesn't someone have to make and maintain those registers? Aren't those jobs better paying? If automation is taking away jobs, why are there more manufacturing, technical, or maintenance jobs now than at any other time in history?

I use a voice dictation program for show preparation and correspondence. The program often does not recognize certain words, especially proper names, that you can add to the dictionary. But, the first time i said 'Ilhan Omar' or 'Rashida Tlaib,' it recognized the names and spelled them correctly. So why can' that same system recognize Jeanine Pirro or President Trump?

Why is Hunt's producing mayonnaise mixed with mustard or ketchup?

If white privilege exists, why isn't everyone choosing to self-identify as white?

This could go on and on and on, so why not stop right there?
