Aldo Leopold Charter School Internship Showcase
Wednesday, November 29, 2017, 04:30pm - 06:00pm |
The Internship Showcase displays the efforts of 65 students in grades 10-12, who have been spending every Friday this semester working with local businesses, non-profits and government agencies. Thirty-five students have worked on one of six Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) crews: Archaeology Site Stewardship, Eco Monitoring, Murals with MRAC’s Youth Mural Program, Watershed Keepers, ALCS Garden, and Trails at Dragonfly. Other students have been learning various skills by working with mentors in careers such as information technology, physical therapy, elementary school education, engineering, veterinarian care, welding and architecture. At the showcase, all interns will give presentations about their internship or YCC experience.
