Grant County Water Commission -tentatively scheduled March 21, 2024

This communication is to notify that the GCWC (Grant County Water Commission) Meeting tentatively scheduled for this Thursday, February 22, 2024, is being cancelled.  The next meeting will be tentatively scheduled for the March 21.  Please advise if you have any concerns.

Volunteer Trail Projects in the Gila ~ Join us!

Spring Trail Projects: March – May - All trail users welcome.  No trail work experience needed.

Gila Back Country Horsemen (Gila BCH) organizes volunteer trail projects in the Gila National Forest and Gila Wilderness.  View our spring 2024 trail project schedule details and RSVP: https://www.gilatrailsinfo.org/trail-projects

These projects are a great way to explore a new area while giving back.  Trail projects range from front-country to remote back-country trails and are between 1 – 7 days.  

The Gila Chapter partners with other trail users like hikers and bikers to keep trails open for all. Celebrating 20 years in 2021, Gila BCH’s mission is to “Perpetuate the commonsense use and enjoyment of horses in America's backcountry and wilderness areas.”

Caller was scammed/she gave them $900.

Caller advised someone is on his property/he is in the 25-foot house trailer on the property and doesn't want to come out. Caller is very hard to understand, speak to caller in person. Deputy investigating.

61-year-old male not breathing/caller advised is bagging him now, but it is not working/TYFD paged twice with no response/caller has been doing chest compressions since the beginning/gate is open. TYFD advised to send deputy. Deputy advised to send OMI.

Bring your extra seedlings, starts, cuttings and plants to Gough Park to exchange. If you don't have any to share, you are welcome to bring other items such as your eggs, home processed foods, homemade soaps, dried teas and herbs, seeds, and services to barter with instead. We suggest you bring a table, but not required.
