Silver City, NM – June 5, 2019 – Come explore the wines of New Mexico at the Second Annual Silver City Wine Festival on July 13-14, 2019 from noon to 6pm in Gough Park. This two-day event will feature a dozen of the state’s best wineries, alongside exceptional food and artisans. Crafts, live music, clay workshops and oversized lawn games will also be available throughout the weekend.

The Silver City Wine Festival is a great opportunity to sample some of the latest releases from New Mexico wineries, meet the winemakers, and enjoy a variety of wines, ranging from big and bold to soft and sweet.

Tickets cost $15 for early bird, $20 in advance, and $25 at the gate. Entry into the event includes a commemorative sample glass for tasting the wine, and a $5 token toward the purchase of a bottle or glass of wine. New Mexico Wine is working with local artisans and organizations to add more fun activities to the event lineup. Visitwww.nmwine.com for the latest event information.

New Mexico is the oldest wine country in America by about 200 years with the first vines planted in 1629 by Spanish settlers. The state’s history of wine is as rich and complicated as its landscape, which is reflected in the wines. Today the industry produces tens of thousands of gallons of wine annually, adding millions of dollars to the state’s revenue.

From robust reds to crisp whites and everything in between, there’s something for all wine enthusiasts at the Silver City Wine Festival. Come savor a glass in the beautiful splendor of the Gila Wilderness.

Participating Wineries: Gruet Winery - La Esperanza Winery - Sheehan Family Winery - St. Clair Winery - Amaro Winery - Luna Rossa Winery - Noisy Water Winery - Shattuck Vineyard - Sombra Antigua Winery - Wines of the San Juan - Las Nueve Ninas Winery - Jaramillo Winery
