Kelly Wildfire Update, May 9, 2017
Location: Glenwood NM, approximately 10 Miles NE of Alma on the east side of Hwy 180 and the San Francisco River @ T9S R20W Sec 12 .
Start Date: May 6, 2017 at 6 p.m. Size: 2 acres
Cause: Lightning caused
Vegetation: Pinion, juniper, grass and brush in rocky, steep terrain
Resources: 3 firefighters
Summary: The Kelly Fire is burning on National Forest System lands. The plan has been to monitor and evaluate heritage sites in the area. The fire received a trace amount of rain yesterday afternoon and evening, and the Weather Service is predicting a 40% chance of precipitation over the fire area today.
