The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce will host a Singing Competition to identify who will sing the National Anthem at the 38th Annual Armed Forces Banquet on June 1, 2017. The competition is also open to individuals (or groups) to sing other, but not limited to, patriotic songs such as "America the Beautiful" and "God Bless America". The Chamber is also encouraging groups and individuals to audition using patriotic poetry, dance and other creative performances and interpretations.
The competition will be held this Friday, May 19, 2017 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at EPICENTER located at 119 Gold Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. The competition is an all-ages event. Interested singers must contact Amber Jaramillo at the Chamber in order to reserve a time slot to audition in front of a panel of judges. The panel of judges will include representatives from the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, Kirtland Air Force Base, and the music community in Albuquerque.
Beyond the honor of performing for our military community at the Armed Forces Banquet on June 1st at the Albuquerque Convention Center, the winners of the Singing Competition will also receive one free ticket to the Armed Forces Banquet, which includes dinner and a program of entertainment!
