ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (NMDVS) will make a state veterans benefits outreach stop on May 23 at the Albuquerque Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, located at 1501 San Pedro Blvd. SE.
New Mexico VA Health Care System employees, veterans, or national guard/reserve personnel with appointments at the VA hospital that day are invited to stop by NMDVS tables from 10 am - 2 pm in the hospital's mail building lobby to learn about state veterans' benefits.
NMDVS representatives will have information about the veterans' state property tax exemption, disabled veteran property tax waivers, veterans' license plates, disabled veteran park & museum passes, veterans hunting & fishing licenses, and many other state veterans' benefits. Information can also be obtained about VA health benefits, VA disability ratings, VA pensions & compensation, and small business help for entrepreneurial-minded veterans.
Please bring a copy of your DD-214 military separation papers in order to help expedite any filing assistance processes. Spouses, family members, and caretakers are also encouraged to visit on behalf of veterans needing assistance.
