Washington, D.C. (January 9, 2018) Congressman Steve Pearce over the weekend discussed his legislation to provide certainty for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients before the March 5, 2018 deadline.
“… The same pressure to keep country working [is here]. I’ve been [here] 13 years and I’ve never seen immigration come this close… So, I put my bill in that says let’s just find a compromise in the middle of the road, give permanent status so they don’t have to live in fear every day – they can go to work, they can go to school, and just live their lives… I think it’s [going to] be that middle of the road approach. I don’t want to get this close and not do something. Let’s solve one piece of the puzzle that’s very critical and very emotional…”
