Ansley back with the counties
MORA, NM – The Mora County Commission voted October 10 to name Joy Ansley as the new county manager.
“When I left Torrance, I didn’t believe I’d work in county government again, but here I am,” said Joy Ansley. “I’m very blessed that the Mora County Commission has given me this opportunity, and I’m excited to be back. I’m looking forward to working with everybody again!”
Joy brings 14 years of management experience in county government with 10 years as the Torrance County Manager and four years as the Catron County Manager. Most recently, she was the public works director for the City of Moriarty. Previously, Joy worked with the Department of Finance and Administration. She graduated from Reserve High School, attended college at Cochise Junior College in Arizona, and transferred to NMSU. This past year, she started a second career in emergency management services working as an EMT-1.
