antonio gonzales rsAntonio Hurtado Gonzales, 71, a resident of Hanover, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

He was Born in Space to Manuel and Juana Gonzales.

In his childhood he served as an alter boy, played little league baseball and played cowboys and Indians. In high school, he excelled in Baseball and Football and graduated from Cobre High School in 1967.

He then went on to work in Arizona, California and back to New Mexico to become a firefighter hotshot negrito.

He went back to school to graduate from WNMU with his associates degree in Automotive Tech.

He loved camping, hunting, playing cards, cooking, playing horseshoes. He was an active Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. He loved Bob Marley music and being around his family and friends, always laughing and joking around.

He is survived by his children, Arthur Gonzales (Yolanda), Armando Gonzales (Theresa), Robert Villalobos (Jennifer), Marie Gonzales, and Michael Gonzales; three brothers, Gilbert Gonzales (Trika), Ricky Gonzales, and James Gonzales; three sisters, Lupe Maldonado, Vangie and Ron Young, and Sally Gonzales.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Manuel and Juana Gonzales; his wife, Florence Gonzales; one son, Antonio Gonzales Jr.; two grandchildren, Armando Gonzales Jr. and Angelina Marie Gonzales; and one brother, Alex Gonzales.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Aguirre, Jeryk Aguirre, Aeryk Aguirre, Nathan Aguirre and Alex Gonzales, Marie Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ramon Villalobos, Sammy Lopez, Larry Rios, Larry Pedraza, and Freddy Hurtado.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6 from 9-10 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary being recited by Deacon Bill Holguin 10 a.m. The funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11 a.m. with Father Abraham Solis officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
