Dom will always be remembered by his smile and his beautiful green eyes. He was the light of our lives; he was our Dom. Dom had many dreams and goals and strived to achieve good things, but he battled many demons that kept him hidden. His life will always be remembered by the hearts he touched. He saw the world differently than we did. He was passionate about God, passionate about love, and passionate about people.

Dom loved to listen to music, he loved to dance, and cruising was his getaway. Dom lit up any room he walked into. He was always joking being silly trying to put a smile on your face. He just wanted everyone to love one another. He was a young man with a great heart.

Dom’s struggle with schizophrenia would be the reasoning for his death. A six-year battle that he knew he couldn’t win. In the seven months before his passing, we were able to reconnect with Dom. He was the happiest we had seen him in a long time. Topgolf became a family outing that brought smiles to all of us. He was reconnecting with his kids, building new relationships, had a new job with Boart-Longyear, and was working hard to get off probation.

Dom lost himself after his grandmother, Hilda Hernandez passed June 26, 2023. The light in his eyes faded. With his thoughts racing and his life turned upside down he made the choice to leave this world.  Though our hearts are broken we have to remember, he was broken.  Dom made his imprint in this world by being Dom. “Rest my sweet boy. we love you dearly”.
